Hope on Horseback

Veterans

HOHB is proud to offer a veteran's program to our military veterans of any age or type of disability. Specific precautions are addressed through an evaluation to determine eligibility.

The gait of the horse mimics the natural movement of the human body when walking.  This movement and the warmth of the horse:
  • Improves balance and coordination
  • Relaxes tight muscles
  • Increases range of motion
  • Improves circulation
Working with horses provides constant feedback, reflecting our behavior. Horses mirror our state of mind and never judge.  Learning to interact with them provides a sense of peace and an emotional well-being that can carry over into our daily lives.

For those who rode within the past two years Renewal Form
