Attached is the February Calendar; let's hope Punxsutawney Phil doesn't see his shadow on February 2nd! We are ramping up for the 2024 Classes and we are going to be busy!
Instructors Karen Mead and Pam Dlugas have been working hard the last few months. Karen and Pam have been updating some of our techniques and working with new volunteers interested in joining our program.
Experience Hope on Horseback Horses has been well-attended. This weekly activity engages folks waiting to go through the New Volunteer training. Tenured volunteers are learning more about our herd's personalities and mannerisms.
To reflect the ongoing refinement of our program, Karen and Pam have developed a new Leader Certification Process. The new Leader Certification Process provides updated techniques, training, and workshops consistent with our commitment to the safety and wellfare of our students, horses, and volunteers.
Training this month will consist of:
Tuesdays: 5:30pm - 7:30pm.
New and tenured (yes; that means ALL) volunteers must attend 2 of these classes prior to classes starting in March.
Fridays: Experience Hope on Horseback Horses 9am - Noon is open to all.
New Volunteer Training will be held on February 26th & 29th. This training is mandatory for anyone new to Hope on Horseback and open to those wanting a refresher course.
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may plan accordingly.
*all activities are dependent on the weather.
Make a note for March with more information to come:
March 2nd - Eclipse Bingo, St. Francis Xavier Parish Center in McKean.
March 9th - 2024 Volunteer Kick-Off at Amber Meadow Farm.
